The Best Franchise in the NBA
The Portland Trail Blazers are a historic franchise, dating back to 1970 when they were first brought into the NBA as an expansion team. Since then, the Blazers have won an NBA championship in 1977, have been to the finals three times, and totaled six divison championships. Of course these are not the BEST accolades but I am openly bias towards them because they are my favorite team. In the website, I hope I can teach you more about the Trail Blazers and next time you hear about them, you can have a little bit more knowledge about them.
The Greats
Since 1970, many great players have come and played for the Trail Blazers. From giant 7 footers like Arvydas Sabonis and Bill Walton, to the uber athletic wings like Clyde "The Glide" Drexler and Jerome Kersey, to the undersized guards like Terry Porter and Damian Lillard. Portland has had there share of amazing talent represeting their NBA team on the highest stages. The Blazers have had 45 All-Star selections and that number is sure to grow as the young team currently in Portland begins to blossom. There have been 7 players inducted into the Hall of Fame that played for the Trail Blazers but that number will go to 8 when Damian Lillard decides to hang up his jersey one day.
